I started archery way back in the 90’s when I found my local club Lake Glenbawn Field Archery.

My first introduction to archery was when taking my son Jock to the club. Coach Garry Dawson told me to give it a go and never looked back. Fell in love with the sport

Yes – No, I shot one bunny in our backyard and had mixed feelings – Excited – I got it but also sad I killed the bunny.

Favourite Archery Memory?

I have been lucky to have many great memories over the years.

Some that stands out are the World Field Championship in Windhoek, Namibia in Africa.

Great experience and made new friends from all over the world, still friends with some on FB.

Shooting my first World Indoor in Sydney was an awesome experience. I had the privilege to meet some beautiful Pro Archers from America, Paige Pearce, and Tate Morgan. Shot with them on the same shooting line and going out for dinner at night. I felt very special and won’t forget this.

What About Archery Appeals To You?

Any Last Words?

Attended the Benchmark 3 D marked distance shoot at the Pioneer Country in Tweed Heads. (5&6 February 2022) This was a great shoot. Only a few ladies attended the shoot, would be wonderful to see many more next year. For the women out there, give it a go! You won’t be disappointed.
